Leading software provider – WillSuite is currently collating data and feedback from a wide range of industry practitioners to understand the impact that Covid is having on the estate planning sector.
Working with hundreds of estate planning businesses and solicitors firms in the private client sector, and being the software provider to both the SWW and the IPW, WillSuite is excellently placed to gather feedback on whether practices have seen a surge in business following the pandemic outbreak, or whether business has slumped.
So far, practitioners have been comparing their business to those referred to in the Financial Times who, back in March and April, told us that practices were seeing a 70% increase in will writing enquiries. Following this, we have been intrigued to understand whether there are regional trends, whether all businesses have seen a boost and what the impact on the sector has been, hence our latest report.
Earlier this year, before the outbreak WillSuite, launched our latest industry report which was the most substantial review ever undertaken on the estate planning sector by a software provider. Typically, Will Writing statistics which make the press are based on a survey of a maximum of two thousand people and these figures are quoted as being a fair representation of what the wider population are doing, but our research was based on over 100,000 Wills produced in the WillSuite engine over the last year to identify some accurate trends and findings.
