The latest courses brought to you by The Society of Will Writers

This season’s latest training courses have been announced by the Society of Will Writers. With their established base of industry experts, their courses are renowned for giving wills and probate professionals valuable opportunity to develop and expand their knowledge.

This month’s up and coming courses are scheduled as follows:

IHT Planning Course | 13th November 2014 at 10am-4pm | £98.50 for members / £175 for non-members

This course will be led by Mike Smith and will cover key areas including the importance of core documents, use of trusts, and family household issues.

Attendees are advised to have acquired some will writing experience to get the most from this course.

Business Property Relief Course | 14th November 2014 at 10am-4pm | £98.50 for members / £175 for non-members

This day session will be led by Mike Smith and will look at a range of topics, including analysis of practical examples, special cases, and important considerations when drafting a will.

Attendees are advised to have an understanding of Nil Rate Bands and experience in IHT services, in order to get the most value from this course.

Drafting Lasting Powers of Attorney Course | 26th November 2014 | £98.50 for members / £175 for non-members

Led by solicitor, Craig Ward, this session will look into best practices for LPAs, mental capacity assessments, and drafting both paper-based and digital LPAs.

Business LPAs and Deputyships Course | 27th November 2014 | £98.50 for members / £175 for non-members

This training will be run by Craig Ward, who will delve into deputyships using real-life cases. The course will help you to complete various applications, but also allow you to effectively advise your clients on deputyships.

Drafting Commercial LPAs Course | 28th November 2014 morning session | £98.50 for members / £175 for non-members (includes morning and afternoon sessions)

Craig Ward will lead this training and the course will cover updates on legislation, reviewing commercial documents and structures, and issues regarding directors.

Marketing Lasting Powers of Attorney Course | 28th November 2014 afternoon session | £98.50 for members / £175 for non-members (includes morning and afternoon sessions)

Following the morning session, this course will also be headed by Craig Ward. It will help you identify good marketing opportunities, review the needs of a particular business, and plan an effective strategy.
