The Institute Proudly Announces Conference Date

The annual IPW and ISPW Annual General Meeting and Willwriting Academy National Conference is fast approaching and will undoubtedly be the sector’s leading conference on issues relating to Estate Planning and Wills.

On Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st March, IPW members will receive the innate and priceless benefits that can only be gained by attending this unique event.

In addition to the Annual General Meeting, which will review the Institute’s successes of 2018 and emphasise the direction and vision for 2019, attendees will receive high quality continuing professional development opportunities from respected experts in their particular fields at the Willwriting Academy conference.

Furthermore, the professional benefits from attending the Willwriting Academy annual conference 2019 means that confirming your attendance may be the wisest decision you will make in the opening quarter of 2019. If you haven’t already booked your place, here are a few pertinent reasons why attending the conference is so important:

Training is a vital tool for any progressive organisation and the Institute is determined to ensure all members have the necessary experience and understanding of relevant issues to thrive in the year ahead.

This year, we have a number of speakers planned who will offer unique insights into the major issues in Wills and Estate Planning, as well as factors that may affect the sector, such as Brexit among other things.

The conference will be a great place to meet like minded people who are providing similar legal services as your business – chat, collaborate and discuss the various ways you can make the process more efficient and pleasant for the client.

We will have a number of innovative exhibitors, sponsors and suppliers. Peruse the technologies on offer and consider how they could improve your business.

The Institute belongs to its members and they deserve to hear of the progression and growth that is being made because of the incredible work that is done by all a daily basis. The conference is a fantastic way to deliver these messages consistently and clearly.

Additionally, spending time with so many familiar and new faces will rejuvenate and invigorate your enthusiasm in the important services you provide. That is why we welcome non-members to the conference in the hope of cultivating fresh connections and opportunities.

Dennis Gardener, IPW and ISPW Chairperson, said: “The next conference will be in March, as it always is. The 20th and 21st of March are the confirmed dates. We will host again at Drayton Manor Park, near Tamworth. The venue decision is a difficult one as everybody wants it in their own region if they can. By hosting in the middle of the country, it makes it considerably easier for everybody to access.

“As well as the Annual General Meeting (AGM), we also have an extensive Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and learning element. We are offering a whole host of different speakers who will be explaining their part of the industry. Our aim is to demystify things so that when our members ask a question, we can explain with more detail and accuracy as to why various things happen and how they can be resolved.”

“For the first time last year, we extended the conference to a day and a half because I am a big believer in the best part of a conference being that time reflecting, collaborating and discussing ideas with colleagues over coffee, lunch or in the bar. Spreading the conference over two days has therefore been extremely beneficial and something we will continue to offer.

“The conference also enables our exhibitors, sponsors and organisations with new software or new technology to explain these new processes in detail rather than rushing through them in a brief coffee break.”
