SWW Launch Annual Conference

The Society of Will Writers, together with media partner Today’s Wills and Probate, are pleased to announce the launch of the SWW’s 22nd Annual Conference.

The event which will be held on the 8th and 9th October at the Abbey Hotel in Redditch is open to all estate planning professionals. This year’s event sees a host of expert speakers including:

  • Gemma Hopper – (Court of Protection Solicitor) on Statutory Wills and P&F Affairs
  • Beth Clarke – on Charitable legacies
  • Robynne Casswell – on living Wills
  • Stephen Lawson – on problem Wills, difficult files and Larke v Nugus letters
  • Emma Chamberlain OBE (tax barrister) – The taxation of trusts (TBC)

Day two sees thought provoking discussions and workshops on Will drafting from lead tutor for the College of Will Writing, Siobhan Rattigan; Funeral plan discussions with the CEO of the Funeral Planning Authority, Graeme McAusland, as well as Funeral Plan expert Derek Forbes and there will be a session on growing your Will writing practice or business with Rob Newman. Rob has been involved in and is responsible for the growth of multiple million-pound organisations.

As well as great and engaging content from these experts, you will also have the opportunity to meet with our conference sponsors, all of which can provide something extra for your business. If you would like to secure a spot at the conference all you need to do is complete one of the attached booking forms and send it to conference coordinator Diane Mandeville at The Society of Will Writers. Payment should be made in full before the 21st September.

The Master of Ceremonies for the event will be Derek Forbes who was responsible for organising some of the SWW’s earliest conferences.
