Speakers finalised for this year’s SWW Annual Conference
The Society of Will Writers (SWW) are pleased to announce that the speakers for the 19th Annual Conference have now been confirmed. As the Society turned 21 this year, they are keen to ensure that you get as much from conference as possible and have sourced some fantastic speakers.
As previously reported by Today’s Wills & Probate, the conference will again be run over two days at the same venue as last year. The first day being the traditional conference day with 4 expert speakers and day two following the same format as last year, with three engaging workshops running until roughly 1pm.
The 2015 conference will feature discussions led by the following speakers:
Martin Holdsworth: experienced solicitor who will be covering an anecdotal review of why and how will claims arise. He will look into the common reasons for claims, current trends of litigation, as well as look into recent case examples.
James Greenwood: SWW Estate Case Manager who will be detailing common estate planning mistakes that even professionals may not know they’re making, and the effect this has at probate.
Mike Smith: solicitor and College of Will Writing tutor who will be discussing foreign property and looking at EU succession regulation, in particular the Brussels IV legislation.
James Kessler: leading tax barrister and author who is set to cover a whole host of topics, including legislation and a range of guidance on trusts and the preparation of wills. He will also look into the quality of will writing today and explain the need for lasting powers of attorney (LPAs).
