Embracing New Working Approaches After Covid-19
The recent COVID-19 pandemic has been an unprecedented time. We have seen large scale job losses, some household names and strong brands having to close, and what will be in my opinion a forging of the ‘new norm’ in respect of social interaction with our fellow humans.
As a business we ourselves have moved from the default of a face to face meeting, to using Zoom. At the age of 50 trying to learn such things is a challenge however we have now embraced this new approach and will be adopting it as the ‘new norm’ going forward. Amazed at how it has improved productivity but not sure I like the sound of my own voice when listening to the recordings back.
I know at a personal level it has been a time of reflection and realisation of my own mortality and, having very sadly lost a neighbour and a client to this awful disease, a wakeup call on the importance of having one’s affairs in order.
There have been press releases recently about ‘Wills being signed on car bonnets’ etc but most recently and most interestingly the introduction of the ability to witness wills at a distance using technology via electronic signature and video. Another example of moving with the times.
I would expect, now more than ever, more and more people are looking to get their affairs in order having had a similar period for reflection and focussing of the mind. However in these tough and challenging financial times there will be many who simply cannot afford to commit the lump sum costs for the necessary comprehensive package of Wills, Trusts, LPAs etc to best protect them and their loved ones both during their lives and beyond.
This, however, is where we can help. We can offer a simple instalment plan spread over anywhere from 6-60 months and from interest rates as low as 0%. Our instalment plan is fully FCA regulated affording your clients of the protection of the Consumer Credit Act and Financial Services and Markets Act, and the professional standing that comes with being able to offer such a solution.
‘But’, I hear you say, ‘I don’t want to have to become FCA authorised and regulated, it costs a lot of money and takes anything up to 12 months’. Well, the good news is you don’t have to. Let me explain.
Citrus Funding is a fully FCA authorised provider of credit facilities for professional services firms. We act as a regulatory umbrella for you, which means you have access to a fully comprehensive range of FCA regulated products by doing so under our umbrella. We provide you with everything you need, including training, to be able to offer these plans to your clients, we take care of the regulatory side of things. It’s what is called being an ‘Appointed Representative’, something which is long established in the FCA world. Essentially we become the regulator for you but provide you with full support and guidance and, most importantly, access to our exclusive funding products which give you full control over all client applications and when you are paid.
You have access to your own application portal and can request drawdown of the funds once you have contracts signed and begin working for the client. You don’t have to wait months to get paid, nor are you paid in stages. You are in complete control. After you are paid the funder providing the installments assumes full responsibility for collecting the monthly payments including any arrears. They do not claw this back from you once you have been paid.
We fully appreciate that no two businesses are the same, therefore we have a number of options to choose from to suit your individual business needs and the packages you will be offering to your clients. You can arrange installments on packages from £500 up to £60,250, so it opens up your vital services to more of your clients, without you being at risk of non-payment or having to wait for money to be paid to you in stages or installments.
In today’s economic climate more than ever, the ability for clients to protect their families and loved ones is of the utmost importance and to be able to do that without the worry or pressure of having to find the funds up front will be a significant weight off the minds people. I know it has been already for those using our services.
