How can you boost client enquiries this Christmas?

Given that it’s the season of goodwill, you might assume that consumers would be keen to ensure assets are protected for their loved ones.

Whilst they may be surrounded by fairy lights, wrapping paper and mince pies, Christmas is most certainly a time for putting family first – surely it would be a fitting time to plan for their future.

However, for the majority of potential clients, writing a Will probably isn’t at the top of their to-do list. As opposed to a priority, consolidating final wishes will be something that’s left to the last minute, often prompted by the passing of someone close.

Whilst you might associate writing a Will with protection, the connotations for consumers will usually be more negative, with last wishes probably being far from what they’d want to think about during the festive season.

So, what’s the best way to show consumers that Will writing and estate planning isn’t all doom and gloom?

Christmas is all about giving back, and that includes giving back to the community.

Whether it’s taking part in the local village fair or holding a festive coffee morning, openly talking about planning for the future is one of the most effective ways of reducing the stigma around wills, as well as boosting awareness of your business within your local area.

In turn, any apprehension that consumers may have is alleviated, increasing the likelihood of them wanting to make plans for later life. Their mindset changes from worry to practicality, meaning they are much more likely to consider the benefits of consolidating their final wishes.
