Wills firm with 30 years of experience snapped up by accountancy firm

Cornwall-based will writer, jBwills has been bought up by local accountancy firm Robinson Reed Layton.

Jane Barlow, a chartered legal executive and will writer with 30 years’ experience has joined the team at the accountancy firm following the move.

Nick Skerratt, a partner at Truro-based Robinson Reed Layton, said: “We are thrilled to broaden our probate and estates offering by acquiring jBwills to provide the complete service to our clients and beyond. As we already have a long-established relationship with our clients, we believe we are best placed to provide a complete Probate and administration of estates service.

“The probate and administration process involves a significant amount of tax and accounting work and so we are extremely well positioned to provide this service to our clients.

“As part of this service we can also ensure all tax implications are considered, which is vital to save our clients unnecessary costs at an understandably difficult time.”

Jane Barlow said: “Serving the best interests of our clients has always been at the forefront of the work carried out by jBwills. I am delighted to be appointed as probate manager with Robinson Reed Layton, a firm with an excellent reputation for the quality of its service and advice to clients, both here in Cornwall and further afield.”

Robinson Reed Layton is an independent firm of accountants and registered auditors with origins dating back to the early 1920s.
