Tom Gormanly, CEO at The Will Writing Company said: “We have had a great many blue ribbon days in our proud trading history, I remember our first year anniversary, our 10th anniversary, and our 25th anniversary, I remember the first time our fee income reached £250,000, then it reached £1 million, then £2 million and then £3 million, I remember our first employee, and our 100th employee, and only recently did our Trust Company reach £500,000,000 of assets under management since its formation in 2010. These are all events that make each and every one of our staff very proud, but probably nothing will top the feeling on the 1st of June 2016 when we became an entity regulated by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority. Our proudest day ever.”

“This date is not necessarily our pinnacle, but it is in fact the start. We have to continuously strive day in and day out to demonstrate, as we always have done, the highest standards of ethics, professionalism and customer care. We always have and we always will put our client needs first. Our aim by the end of 2020 is to be in the top 1% of SRA regulated firms (fee income) in our area of estate planning.”

“Excellent customer service and experience is what we do best and, because of this, we are proud of the long-standing relationships we have with both our clients and our introducing partners. By becoming an SRA regulated firm, we see this as a positive step forward in further protecting the best interests of all of our stakeholders. We are delighted to have achieved regulation as it confirms our position as an established major player in the Will writing sector and our commitment to providing our clients with high quality advice.”

Sally Brown, Head of Legal told the Law Gazette : “It was a natural progression to apply to become SRA-regulated, to give clients that extra protection which regulation brings.

“Such protection includes offering an avenue for pursuing complaints, as well as £3m in professional indemnity insurance cover required by the SRA for ABS status”
