The Law Society needs your help in the fight against organised crime

In October 2013, the HM Government released the Serious and Organised Crime Strategy, in an effort to detract such criminal activity that had a detrimental effect on the UK.

The strategy focussed on the 4 Ps of an effective action plan against serious misconduct: Pursue, Prevent, Protect and Prepare – scheduled to be in place until 2015.

The Home Office are now in partnership with The Law Society and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) to make solicitors and legal professionals across the nation more aware of the threat of organised crime.

Not only is this partnership aiming to detract firms from becoming involved in serious criminal activity, they will also provide worthwhile guidance and advice on action you can take to protect your business.

As part of the research into the issue, The Law Society are calling all solicitors and legal professionals to take part in a short survey. This will look at your views and opinions on organised crime and will assess the level in which your business is at in terms of awareness and security.

Your views as a qualified professional will be very valuable to this campaign, so to take part in the survey, please visit The Law Society website.
