IRN UK Wills and Probate Market Briefing

Latest industry report now available at discount price exclusively for Today’s Wills & Probate readers

The third edition of the annual IRN Legal Market Briefing conducted by IRN research has been released and provides an up to date picture of the current wills and probate sector within the UK.

IRN are a market research consultancy focussing especially upon the legal services market, and in this edition of their legal briefings series, cover a wide range of detailed information specific to the wills and probate sector.

Despite the fragmentation of the market by smaller companies, more volume players are beginning to appear. Due to reduced prices and intense levels of competition, growth within the market will remain limited. These issues were viewed by practitioners in the sector as significant obstacles to growth and for the next two years, the forecast remains low with just single-digit value progress.

However, the emergence of opportunities in certain sectors has been noted, such as higher volumes of probate and estate administration work, arranging Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as supplementary services including living wills, bereavement services and care plans. Year-on-year, the proportion and quantity of those over 60 will grow, thus helping the sale of the supplementary services, alongside the drafting of wills.

Although growing numbers of people are undertaking estate administration themselves, fixed price services within the probate sector are becoming increasingly common.

In addition to expanding on these points in detail, the UK Wills & Probate Market Briefing – the third in IRN’s series of legal briefings – provides in depth research highlighting trends and forecasts within the probate sector, industry opinion surveys, key players in the field as well as commentary on important factors which impact the market.

Usually priced at £160, readers of Today’s Wills and Probate can receive the report for £125. Please quote “Today’s Wills & Probate” when ordering to receive your discount.
