New appointments strengthen wills, trusts and estates team

Two new appointments have enhanced the teams at two branches of Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth.

Joining the Leeds office is senior associate, Nazia Nawaz, who will be joining the wills, trusts and estates disputes team. An experienced dispute resolution and litigation solicitor, Nawaz is due to be dealing with contested wills, proprietary estoppel cases as well as complex disputes between trustees and executors.

Commenting on her appointment was Paula Myers. The national head of wills, trusts and estate disputes at Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth highlighted the continual development of the team, as well as the expertise which Nawaz is set to bring.

“Our team has gone from strength to strength in recent years, which has been reflected with high rankings in the independent legal guides. Nazia joining our first-tier team shows our commitment to recruiting high-quality and talented specialists so that we can help more clients resolve their disputes.

“Nazia’s expertise in helping clients in disputes involving wills, trusts, estates, and financial abuse claims will further enhance the department’s wide range of experience for clients across the North.”

Whilst being appointed to the same department, Kelly Wharin will be joining the Sheffield based office, working as an associate solicitor. Since starting as a trainee at hlw Keeble Hawson, Wharin now has over ten years of experience in litigation, providing ample support for her practice in contentious probate.

Myers also commented on Wharin’s appointment, highlighting the rapid growth the team is experiencing on a national basis.

“Kelly’s arrival to the Sheffield team really demonstrates our commitment to building a strong team across the country with the strength in depth to resolve any legal disputes involving wills, trusts and estates.  Our team is growing fast and getting great feedback from our clients and we are pleased to have Kelly on board.”
