Wright Hassall Continue Private Client Expansion

Wright Hassall, the Leamington-based law firm has continued to expand its private client team, after paralegal Kate Anderson qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive.

Ms Anderson joined the company in 2015 as a paralegal having studied at the University of Birmingham and completed her law conversion at the BPP Birmingham Law School.

Having made the decision to specialise in private client law, Ms Anderson spent three years with the team and chose to specialise solely on private client work as she earned her Chartered Legal Executive qualification.

This was a slight alternate route of qualification to the norm, as more traditional training routes don’t allows such dedicated focus in one area.

Kate Anderson said:

“Taking this alternative route to qualify was perfect for me as it meant I was able to stay in the same team and department and really hone my skills which is something I wouldn’t otherwise have had the opportunity to do.”

Ms Anderson’s new role follows the appointment of Jordan Hamilton-Cox as a Trust and Tax Executive and Tax Consultant Israr Manawer, alongside Tracy Ashby as a Senior Associate.

The continued growth of the private client team at Wright Hassall last year follows the increasing number of tax queries and demand for services which helped to propel the team into the top tier of the Legal 500, with associate solicitor Jennifer Russell receiving a special mention in the prestigious rankings.

The team also received further recognition for their work after being shortlisted for solicitor firm of the year in the Midlands at the prestigious British Wills and Probate Awards 2019.

Hannah Carey, Head of Residential Property and Private Client at Wright Hassall, added:

“This year has seen our private client team expanding in response to increasing demand for our services. This year’s new appointments are helping to strengthen the services we offer as it is clear this need for good tax and estate planning advice will continue into 2020 and beyond.”
