Settify Enlist AI To Make Will-Drafting Faster, Easier And More Profitable

Solicitors at Probaters and legal technologists Settify have joined forces to design and successfully launch Europe’s first artificially intelligent Wills and Estates client intake system.

The online system uses artificial intelligence to help firms interact with new Wills and Estate clients in real time. One of the benefits of this new system, sees it being accessible on a smart phone, tablet or computer.

Another benefit helps to manage the client’s expectations, by ensuring they’re kept up to speed with what’s going on whilst providing the key facts to the solicitor who is dealing with their query.

The company launched a Family Law version of the system in the UK in October 2018 and, according to CEO Max Paterson, it has already been contracted by over 30 firms so far.  Settify is now available to UK Wills and Estates practices.

Max Paterson, CEO for Settify, says:

“This represents a big step forward in making the Will preparation process faster and more efficient, driving up profitability for firms. Importantly though, our focus is on giving clients the best experience yet, by combining cutting edge tech, with expert and personal legal service.”

Probators was founded by solicitor, Alan Thompson, and Accountant and Tax advisor, Stephen Crouch, with a view to combining legal, tax and accountancy expertise in an expert Wills, Estates and Probate service.

Thompson has been in private practice for many years in London and Sussex, while Crouch was a co-founder of Crunch, the online accounting service.

Alan Thompson, Solicitor at Probators, says of the collaboration:

“Steve and I are convinced that Settify’s product will be vital as we expand beyond estate administration to helping clients with wills and estate planning.  Settify’s team are professionals totally dedicated to improving service levels for law firms and their clients.”

For their joint effort, Settify and Probaters have been shortlisted for “Best Use of Technology”, “Innovation of the Year” and “Best Use of Marketing & Social Media” at this year’s British Wills and Probate Awards to be held at the Belfry Hotel on 17th October 2019.
