Royally connected host revealed for the First Ever British Wills and Probate Awards

We are delighted to announce that one of the country’s most recognisable broadcast journalists, Jennie Bond, will be hosting The British Wills and Probate Awards 2018.

This prestigious event is specifically dedicated to those professionals in the Wills and Probate sector, honouring excellence, expertise and successes within the industry. Founders of the event, Today’s Wills and Probate, are thrilled that Jennie Bond will be attending the awards, particularly at the event’s debut.

Jennie Bond

Jennie started her career in journalism after graduating from Warwick University in 1972. For 5 years she worked for local newspapers as a reporter before getting a job with BBC Radio News. Over the next few years, she gained a lot of experience in radio news and worked on the very popular ‘Woman’s Hour’, and in light entertainment, with Noel Edmonds.

In 1986, she returned to full-time reporting with Radio 4, covering all the major news stories and was also the beginning of her career as a presenter.

Jennie is well known for her royal connections; as well as being the BBC Royal’s Correspondent for over 14 years, she has always been at the heart of royal events and news which regularly made headlines globally.

She has since appeared frequently on a wide range of television and radio programmes including ITV’s ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ as well as some of the BBC One’s most Popular shows including ‘Cash in the Attic’, ‘Rip Off Britain’ and BBC Two’s successful series, ‘Great British Menu‘.

Over the years, Jennie has used her journalistic experiences to write several books such as Reporting Royalty and Elizabeth: 50 Glorious Years which was updated for the Queen’s 80th Birthday.

Jennie said:

I’m delighted to host these awards at a time which is rather pertinent to me as my mother died at the end of last year. Her death re-emphasised to me the importance of keeping your will up to date, and the value of the expertise of probate solicitors. So it will be lovely to meet, and reward, some of the people who guide us all through this difficult area of life.”

The British Wills and Probate Awards will take place on the 18th October at The Palms Conservatory, Ardencote, where the winners will be announced and rewarded with a sumptuous gala dinner. There’s plenty of time to enter, and it’s free, so make sure you put your firm forward to be in with a chance of winning!

You can also be part of the awards if you’re looking for a unique way to boost your company’s brand exposure – why not take a look at our sponsorship opportunities – click here to find out more.

This event is bound to be key for Wills and Probate calendar and one not to be missed; if you’re part of the sector, make sure it’s in your diary!
