Register now for The British Wills and Probate Awards celebration

In less than two weeks’ time, the great and the good of the wills and probate sector will congregate virtually for the 2020 British Wills and Probate Awards.

The overriding purpose of the awards is to recognize the achievements of individuals and companies within our industry, whilst celebrating those who pick up a trophy on the virtual podium.

We have the pleasure of sharing the news that registrations for the event are now open. Click here to gain VIP access and the best seats in the house for the prestigious awards ceremony.

The ceremony, which takes place on Thursday 22 October at 3.30pm will recognize individuals and firms deserving of recognition in the toughest of years. As well as highlighting some of the remarkable changes that may have been accelerated as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. We can also promise some memorable stories told through entrants submissions.

Ever popular ex-Royal correspondent Jennie Bond will be adding that little bit of extra sparkle as she returns to host the awards for the third year.

Karen Babington, Director of the Practical Vision Network who publishes the trade publication Today’s Wills and Probate, said:

“Although we’re unable to meet up in person this year, we’re encouraging everyone to get dressed up in their finery and make this virtual event one to remember. For those followers of fashion, what better excuse than to splash out on that outfit you may have been resisting, or dab on some Chanel hand sanitizer.

“I have heard firsthand the experiences of practitioners operating within the wills and probate sector, and the toll it has taken on many. Allocating us 90 minutes on the 22nd will help us to reward those individuals by recognizing and celebrating the success and achievements that have been made in the Wills and Probate arena. There’s been some tough competition according to our elite judging panel and I look forward to the announcement of the winners from our shortlisted firms.

Dave Newick, Managing Director of the award’s headline sponsor Arken.legal (UK) has provided the below video wishing everyone involved in the awards the best of luck.

Peter Julier, a Legal Services Business Leader & Consultant, attended last year’s awards, and has already signed up for his virtual seat at this year’s ceremony. He said:

“The British Wills and Probate Awards is unique, because it is the only forum where law firms, ABS’s and estate planning businesses come together under ‘one roof’ to celebrate the successes and innovations in their collective industry.

“That’s why I’ll be watching on the 22 October, in order to see the people behind the organisations that are leading the way and challenging us all to do things better.”

Karen added:

“We encourage you to send us your pictures and tweets dressed to impress within your homes and offices, with snaps of your favourite tipple whether that be a cup of tea in your most loved mug, glass of something fizzy or even your favourite cocktail concoction that has got you through lockdown.”
