Reductions made to CoP application and appeal fees

The Court of Protection application and appeal fees have been reduced.

Set to come into force later this month, the Court of Protection, Civil Proceedings and Magistrates’ Courts Fees (Amendment) Order 2018 has amended the Court of Protection Fees Order 2007.

This means that fees payable in proceedings in the Court of Protection to make an application and to appeal have been reduced.

Rather than having to pay £400 in each case, the new fee in respect of an application will stand at £385 and £320 in respect of an appeal.

The reduction in fees is due to come into effect from 25 July 2018.
