Finalists Announced For National Paralegal Awards

The Professional Paralegal Register have announced the finalists for the prestigious National Paralegal Awards, which will be taking place on Friday 27th March 2020.

Karen Babington, Director at the Practical Vision Network, was selected as a judge for the awards, and helped whittle down the nominees list.

The finalists are from 16 individual and business categories and recognise and reward the outstanding work of Paralegals and law firms that support the development of the paralegal profession.

The full list of finalists can be found here.

All of the nominees were scrutinised through an independent judging panel, which itself was compromised of 17 legal and business professionals. The head judge role was completed by Amir Ali, Chairman of the CCUA.

Amir Ali, said:

“I and the judging panel were very impressed by the high standard of entries shortlisted. There are many very talented paralegals and firms dedicated to supporting the development of the profession – judging the entries was no easy feat!

“Paralegals are the backbone of the Legal Sector, often at the coalface who receive little or no recognition for the vital role they perform within the industry, and professional awards such as these are a fantastic opportunity to congratulate all finalists on their achievements and successes.”

Today’s Family Lawyer (a sister trade publication to Today’s Conveyancer/Today’s Wills and Probate/Today’s Legal Cyber Risk) is sponsoring the ‘Best Family Law Paralegal’ award at the event.

Karen Babington, Director of the Practical Vision Network, which owns the Today’s Family Lawyer trade publication, said:

“The judging was extremely tough, and the amount of entries we received were phenomenal. I want to congratulate everyone who was nominated, you are all worthy winners.”

Rita Leat, Managing Director of the Professional Paralegal Register, said:

“Congratulations to all those who have been shortlisted for the National Paralegal Awards. Yet again, the number of high quality entries we received represents the breadth and range of paralegal activity and excellent work undertaken in the UK. Thank you to our judges for their work and we look forward to meeting the finalists and our sponsors at the awards gala.

The awards evening will take place on Friday 27th March at the iconic Grand Hall, Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden in London.
