Mowbray Woodwards appoint new wills, probate and trusts solicitor

A Bath based law firm has brought in a new wills, probate, trusts and Powers of Attorney solicitor to it’s Queen Square office.

Mowbray Woodwards have appointed Owen Mason as a solicitor to the private client team. He previously worked for three years at Cooperative Legal Services in Bristol.

He said: “Mowbray Woodwards is a long established multi-disciplinary law firm with a first-class reputation in Bath and much further afield and I am thrilled to be part of its expansion plans as the private client side of the business continues to grow and flourish.

“I love my role helping people to get their financial and property affairs in order and enjoy advising them on everything from drafting wills and estate planning to helping with inheritance tax matters. It’s exciting to have the opportunity to develop my career in Bath, where my parents still live and where I spent several summers during my university days.”

Mowbray Woodwards also appointed Cardiff University graduate Jennifer Clarke fresh from qualifying.

Jennifer previously worked as a legal secretary then paralegal in nearby Newport whilst studying for her law degree. She’s also worked in residential conveyancing whilst training, as well as stints in wills and probate.

She said: “The competition for roles for newly qualified solicitors is fierce, so I am delighted to be joining Mowbray Woodwards, which has a thriving residential conveyancing department.

“I am looking forward to becoming established in the Bath property market and helping as many people as possible achieve their property goals – whether that’s picking up the keys to their new dream home or assisting with their house sale.”

Managing partner Tracey Smith said: “It’s exciting times for us all here at Mowbray Woodwards. The business is expanding, driven by growth in the private client and residential property departments, and it is the strength of the people who work with us that ensures our continued expansion.

“We welcome Owen and Jennifer to the firm and congratulate Dan and Harriet for their achievements to date.”
