Legal tech company ULS announces Will Writing Comparison venture

The parent company of comparison services eConveyancer and has announced a new venture aimed at providing comparison services for will writers.

ULS Technology PLC announced the move with two unnamed partners to the London Stock Exchange last week.

The announcement read: “ULS Technology PLC, the provider of online technology platforms for the UK conveyancing and financial intermediary markets, announces it has launched its Will Writing comparison and introduction service through two major partners.

“The new exclusive agreements, one with a leading property group and the other with a leading mortgage network, will allow more than 400 mortgage advisers to compare will writing and other estate planning services through ULS for both existing and new customers.”

Commenting on this new launch, ULS’ CEO Ben Thompson said: “These two new agreements demonstrate our ability to launch new products into the UK’s leading property and mortgage groups. Will Writing is complementary to what homebuyers and movers need and this represents a further broadening of our income stream into other adjacent services. We look forward to launching this new product with other property related businesses in the near future.

After the announcement, shares in ULS were up 0.1% to 56.05 pence. This isn’t the first time ULS have announced a will related project, with “” currently in operation.

The company purchased Legal Eye Ltd in March 2015 for £1.1 million and recently acquired a 35% stake in HomeOwners Alliance for £575,000. ULS was founded in 2003 and were launched on the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market in 2014 at a value of £12.1 million.
