IPW nominate charity for 2017

The Institute of Professional Willwriters (IPW) have chosen Yes to Life as their nominated charity for 2017.

Yes to Life charity empowers people with cancer to make informed decisions about their cancer care options. The charity provides information to guide people with cancer through the confusing options for care and lifestyle choices and help them make informed decisions.  They also aim to simplify and facilitate access to expert knowledge.  The charity raised funding through bequests, public donations, fund-raising events, and a small number of foundations.

Commenting on the nomination was Kylie Simmonds, Council member of the IPW.  She stated: “We chose Yes to Life after we witnessed first-hand the help and support provided to a young lady the IPW know, who was suffering from cancer. Through our membership, our aim is to support Yes to Life in raising awareness of the amazing work they do in order that more people consider supporting the charity when making donations in their wills.”

The IPW, which is the only membership body whose Council members are volunteers, and who carry the Trading Standards Institute accreditation, are actively recruiting new members and plan to launch a host of new membership packages this Summer.

Sue De Cesare, from Yes to Life commented “We are so thankful for the support from IPW.  For a long time, we have been wanting to work out the best way to encourage people to look at legacy and donations in their wills, IPW has been so generous in helping us with the transition from idea to action.  We look forward to working together and generating the much-needed awareness of the work we do and are excited about the prospects of being able to help more people who are diagnosed with cancer.”
